Awana
AWANA is an International children's discipleship program centred on the Gospel and focused on scripture memory. AWANA is an acronym that stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15.
The program is offered to children who are age 3 to Grade 6. For more information about AWANA, visit
www.awana.org
or e-mail Ed Gregorcic, the Pastor of Family Ministries.
Awana Update
We’ve had a wonderful time of learning about helping others and putting our knowledge to practical use. Our November “Packing Party” resulted in 56 boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We are encouraging our clubbers to continue praying for the children that will be receiving these gifts and hearing about Jesus love for them – many for the very first time.
Our final Awana night for 2009 will be Wed., December 9th, which is our annual Awana Christmas Craft Night. We encourage parents and grandparents to stay for the evening as we celebrate together. We will be worshiping in song and story, followed by a craft time where families are invited to help their clubbers. We ask each family to bring a plate of cookies or squares for our celebration.
Regular club nights resume Wed., January 6th, 2010, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
